How to Configure Mail Gmail to Windows Live Mail

Configure Gmail

Configuring Gmail to Windows Live Mail is almost the same when we setting Mail using Outlook Express. there is 2 step if we want to configuring the email, below is detail explanation :

1. Enable POP in Gmail
   a. Login to Gmail
   b. Click Setting in the top right in your email
   c. Click tab Forwading and POP/IMAP
   d. Tick mark
   - Enable POP for Mail (if you want to download all your mail from the beginning)
   - Enable POP for mail that arrive from now on (if you want to download the email after this setting done)
   e. Save Changes

2. Configure Windows Live Mail

• a. My incoming mail Server is a : POP3
  b. Incoming server : pop.gmail.com
  c. Port : 995
  d. Tick mark This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
  e. Login ID : your ID
  f. Out going server : smtp.gmail.com
  g. Port : 25
  h. Tick mark This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
  i. Tick mark My Outgoing server requires authentication

3. Finish

Congratulations! You're done configuring your client Email to send and retrieve Gmail messages.

How to Fix: “An Error Occurred During Directory Enumeration” Error Message in Win XP

Computer Troubleshooting

This Morning I almost got a nightmare, My Computer cannot logon to windows!! Yayy… Its beginning when I turned on the computer on Monday morning, suddenly my computer always restart every time come to Windows Logo (Black Screen). I remembered yesterday my computer did not turn off properly because there was electricity blackout. I tried to fix the problem using Safe mode but it dosen’t work, and then I try last known good configuration but I have the same result.

Hmm.. I think there was a problem with file kernel32.dll in windows system since the computer always restart. Ok I try booting the computer using Windows XP installation CD (boot from CD). After come to “Welcome to setup” Screen I hit “R” to begin Recovery Console. After select which windows installation usually the system ask for administrator password and come to following command line: C:\Windows> but in my computer doesn’t ask for the password and only come to the command line C:\
I try to C:\ dir
After waiting for a few second there is and Error Message : “ An Error Occurred During Directory Enumeration” Yayy!!.. its not kernel32 file problem in this case the system cannot read the files in the Windows or INF directory.

To fix the problem I use this Command line C:\chkdsk /p /r.
After waiting for several time Chkdsk Done! I try to type C:\dir …and I can see All my file again!!! :) After that I type C:\Exit and Restart windows.

First I try booting to safe mode its working after that I try to booting windows normally..and Problem Solved !! :D

How to reset or remove Trend Micro OfficeScan password to default

I am Writing this base on my Experiences when I have problem when I try to unnistall Trendmicro Antivirus Client. To Unnistall TM Cilent we need Uninstall Password.
How about if we forgot the password or Trend Micro Server have aproblem and need to Re-install??

After Try for some information from internet finnaly I can Remove the TM Client...:)

Below is some step that I write to make you easy To remove / reset the uninstall password for Trend Micro OfficeScan Client in Win XP

1. C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan Client
2. Find Ofcscan.ini file
3. Open Ofcscan.ini using notepad
4. Search [INI_CLIENT_SECTION] and find the line reading Uninstall_Pwd= and type a “#” at the beginning of the line to comment it out.
5. Insert a new line saying Uninstall_Pwd=70
6. Save the Ofcscan.ini file and retry the uninstall. When it prompts you for a password, enter a '1'.

For others operating system you can find Ofcscan.ini file in different folder maybe in Windows or program files and do the same step..I only test this in Win XP and its works.. :)

Can’t Login Win XP - c: \ windows \ system32 \ config \ system missing or corrupt

Computer Troubleshooting

I am writing this command because there is still many case that someone ask me how to fix it if they cannot login to windows with error message : C:\Windows\System32\config\system missing or corrupt

1. Please booting using CD windows

2. Press R to repair

3. type the administrator password

after that please type:

md tmp

copy c:\windows\system32\config\system c:\windows\tmp\system.bak

delete c:\windows\system32\config\system

copy c:\windows\repair\system c:\windows\system32\config\system

Exit from command prompt and restart the computer

Sometime we still find or using database like foxpro, Just Like today I want to get the data using dababase foxpro using SQL command:

Select * from data1 where tanggal = ‘11/28/2007′ but its not return any record

to get the data result I have to add function ctod before date :

select * from data1 where tanggal = ctod (’11/28/2007′)

When I try that command its working..:)
