As default Windows 7 will only display icon based button on taskbar without any text labeling on it. Without text label, sometimes it is difficult to recognize what the application that you open on the taskbar
If you want to change the icon not only display icon but also the text like the picture below
you can get it easily by following below configurations.
1. Right click on empty section of the Taskbar, then select Properties.
2. Under Taskbar menu, go to Taskbar buttons dropdown box and change from “Always combine, hide labels” to either “Never combine” or “Combine when taskbar is full“. “Combine when taskbar is full” option will group same program buttons in taskbar whereas “Never combine” option will disable the grouping.
4. Click OK button to save the setting.

Computer Ethics is a branch of practical philosophy which deals with how computing professionals should make decisions regarding professional and social conduct. The term "computer ethics" was first coined by Walter Maner in the mid-1970s, but only since the 1990s has it started being integrated into professional development programs in academic settings. The conceptual foundations of computer ethics are investigated by information ethics, a branch of philosophical ethics established by Luciano Floridi. Computer ethics is a very important topic in computer applications.
Ten Commandments of Computer Ethics
The Ten Commandments of Computer Ethics were created in 1992 by the Computer Ethics Institute. The commandments were introduced in the paper "In Pursuit of a 'Ten Commandments' for Computer Ethics" by Ramon C. Barquin as a means to create "a set of standards to guide and instruct people in the ethical use of computers." The Ten Commandments of Computer Ethics copies the style of the Ten Commandments from The Bible and uses the archaic "thou shalt" and "thou shalt not" found in the King James version.
The commandments have been widely quoted in computer ethics literature but also have been criticized by both the hacker community and some in academia. For instance, Dr. Ben Fairweather of the Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility has described them as "simplistic" and overly restrictive.
The CISSP — an organization of computer security professionals — has used the commandments as a foundation for its own ethics rules
1. Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people.
2. Thou shalt not interfere with other people's computer work.
3. Thou shalt not snoop around in other people's files.
4. Thou shalt not use a computer to steal.
5. Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness.
6. Thou shalt not use or copy software for which you have not paid.
7. Thou shalt not use other people's computer resources without authorization.
8. Thou shalt not appropriate other people's intellectual output.
9. Thou shalt think about the social consequences of the program you write.
10. Thou shalt use a computer in ways that show consideration and respect.

Speed Up Taskbar Thumbnails Preview in Windows 7

When mouse is hovered on the program icon in Windows 7, you may notice that it does have some latency to display the preview after mouse over the icon. To speed up the thumbnails preview, you can change the delay time via Registry.
To change the delay time by following the steps below:
1. Click Start then in Search Box Type regedit.
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse.
3. On the right panel, look for MouseHoverTime and double click on it. Change the value to 0 (in millisecond) then click OK button to save the changes.
4. Close the registry editor and restart your computer in order to take the effect of the changes.
After Restart, you can verify the delay time taken to display the thumbnail preview is faster than the previous.

How to send and receive Fax in Windows

A few days ago my friend ask me about how to send and receive Fax without Fax machine, he want to send fax using windows operating system and telephone. Is it possible he said to me? Yes, of course it is possible.
If you have the same problem with my friend you can use the following steps:
Note: In example below I am using Windows XP
1. Install Modem
Make sure, you have installed modem driver on your computer before running fax components setup and connect the Modem to the Telephone
2. Installing Fax in Windows
As default Fax service not install automatically in windows. To install the component go to Start->Control Panel->Add Remove Program-> Add/Remove Windows Component.
Select Fax Service than then click Next. (For some case you need CD Driver Win XP)
3. Configuring Fax Console
After finished installing fax service. Go to Start->program->accessories -> communication. Select Fax Console then click Tools->Configure Fax. Click Next.
4. in Sender information page, you need to input name of Your Company and Fax Number. Another information is optional.
5. Select the suitable modem for fax and also enable others send and receive options.
6. In the TSID (Transmitting Subscriber Identification) and CSID (Called Subscriber Identification) page, input your company name and Fax Number. Click Next.
7. In the Routing option page, you can choose whether the fax file will save in Fax Console or in Local Folder/Network Folder.
Now, you already finished with all setting and Configuration but how to send the Fax?
Sending Fax in windows is the same as just like you print document in Windows. You can use, Microsoft office, Adobe reader or other application .

Have you ever experience get an error message bX-u63lp7 when upload new template?
Follow the steps below for solution to fix this error:
1. Locate to the template file (it should be XML file)
2. Right click the XML file then open with Wordpad (right click --> Open With --> WordPad).
3. Find the word widget id, you can use “Ctrl + F” and in the search box type widget id
4. In every widget line it will display something like this : <b:widget id='example1', replace that number for a any other one.
Example, if the widget says 1, erases it and place number 2 instead.
So you will have something like this now: <b:widget id='example2'
5. Do this to all widgets you find in you XML code. When you finish SAVE(Press CTRL+S)
6. Try to upload the template , Preview the template if it is ok, Then SAVE

How to get Recent Comments and Recent Posts on Blogger/Blogspot
Blogger Tips
After you create a new blog and posting some article, of course you want to get Recent Comments and Recent Posts to your blog. Unfortunately for now, there is no widget for this in blogspot . the easy way to get recent comments and recent posts are using Feed.
Follow the steps below to get recent comments and recent posts using Feed:
1. Login to your Blogger account
2. Select Layout ->page element
3. Add the Gedget then choose Feed
4. To get recent comments, In the Box type:
http://YourBlogNameHere.blogspot.com/feeds/comments/default
if you use Custom Domain
http://YourDomainNameHere.com/feeds/comments/default
Click Continue then OK
5. Done
For Recent Post you can do the same step above, just change comments to post
http://YourDomainNameHere.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default
if you use Custom Domain
http://YourDomainNameHere.com/feeds/posts/default

How to Take Ownership Restricted Windows Registry
Windows Registry Keys
When your windows system becomes crash or unstable sometime the problem that you found is in registry. When you try to edit or delete the registry you get an error message “Cannot delete XXXX: Error while deleting key“. Actually this message appears when you login to the computer without Administrator privilege. How about when you check that you are already using Administrator account? How come you still get this error message?
Follow the steps below for the solution
Note : Windows protects the registry keys from being easily modified for a safety reason, always make a backup of the registry that you want to edit or delete using the Export option and so make sure you know what you’re doing before messing with it. (Read : how to Backing up Windows Registry Manually)
1. Click Start->Run and type regedit
2. Right click on the key that you want to take full control of and select Permissions…
3. Click the Advanced button.
4. Go on the Owner tab. Select the user name that the current system is logged on, check “Replace owner on subcontainers and objects” and click OK.
5. Now you should be back at the Permissions window again. In Windows XP, click on EVERYONE and check Full Control for Allow. In Windows Vista, select the group that the currently logged on user belong to and check Full Control for Allow. Click OK.
Now you can modify and delete the protected registry keys

If you want to protect your system for example system desktop appearance, themes, and screen saver as well as other display settings against unwanted changes that other users can make, you can disable right click functionality on desktop
Follow the steps below to disable right click on the desktop windows
To use this feature, you will need to be logged into your computer with administrative rights.
1. Go to Start->Run and type “regedit”
2. Browse to the following registry :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
3. Then, right click on the white space in the right hand side and select New -> DWORD Value Type NoViewContextMenu (it is case sensitive), then assign number 1 in value data box.
4. Now close the registry editor and restart your computer after any changes to go into effect.
But next time, if you want to enable right click functionality on desktop change the value of data box to 0 or simply delete the NoViewContextMenu DWORD item.

How to Enable Show hidden Files and Folder in Windows
Windows Registry
Normally we can Enable or Disable Hidden Files and Folder through Windows Explorer -> Tool->View then select Hidden Files and Folders, but some Viruses, Worm or Trojan disable the “Show all hidden files and folders” to keep them hidden on the windows system. When it happens, hidden files, folders on the PC do not been shown or displayed even though user has attempted to apply the settings to show the hidden files.
To Enable Show Hidden Files and Folder follow the steps below:
1. Click Start ->Run (Windows Vista and Windows 7 uses Start Search instead).
2. Type RegEdit and press Enter to run Registry Editor.
3. Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL
4. In the right pane, verify that the CheckedValue value data is REG_DWORD type. If it’s not (such as belongs to REG_SZ), then delete the CheckedValue value data.
5. If CheckedValue has been delete, create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it as CheckedValue.
6. Double click on CheckedValue and change its value data to 1 (virus may change it to 0 or 2).
7. Within the same registry key, verify that the Type value data is of REG_SZ type, and has the value data radio. If not, set it to radio. Virus may change it to blank.
8. Then go to Windows Explorer -> Tool->View then select Hidden Files and Folders, check if you can Enable Show hidden files and folders by tick mark the radio button.
9. Done

1. Login to your Blogger Account
2. Click layout->Edit HTML
3. Tick mark “Expand Widgets Template”

Handy tool to find your Windows and Office Serial Numbers (Product key)

Usually when we buy original software we will have Serial Number ( Product Key) in Box of the CD, sticker or letter. How about if you lost your letter or sticker which is provide information about your serial key?
I found handy tool to solve this problem, you can use a ‘Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder’. The file size very tiny only 668 KB, no need to install it just run the ‘exe’ .
Tips : if you run the ‘exe’ without extract the file you only can find serial key from Microsoft, but if you extract the file first, then run the ‘exe’ you will find another serial key from software that you installed in computer.
